The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) released a Statement of Preliminary Findings and Conclusions following the Polish presidential elections. The report, which includes recommendations for improving campaign conduct, reflects suggestions we contributed during consultations on the digital aspects of the electoral process.
The OSCE highlighted that the lack of publicly available information about the activities of the Rapid Response System under the EU Code of Practice on Disinformation limited public understanding of its role and impact. Observers also concluded that while the late appointment of a Digital Services Coordinator, just before the first round of elections, cannot be seen in a positive light, it did not prevent authorities from detecting and countering disinformation and foreign interference.
You can find the report and other election-related resources on the OSCE website.
